WildCraft is pleased to host Carolyn Sweeney of Strata Ink for a one-day intensive focused on botanically-derived inks. Carolyn will discuss the principles and practices of safe, seasonal, and sustainable harvesting. Students will spend the day in the studio learning how to extract pigment from local plants. Carolyn will cover various methods of ink making, discussing lightfastness and longevity, ratios, proportions, and recipes. Students will take home a set of botanical inks and swatches of all the colors created by the group.
