WildCraft--Intro to Frame-Loom Weaving (Room 203)

In this course, students will be guided and supported in creating a simple, small scale woven piece. Megan will cover foundational weaving techniques including warping a wooden board loom, basic plain weave structures, rya knots, and creating freeform shapes and patterns with yarn. Natural and repurposed materials will be provided for students to create their initial, unique weavings. Students will take home the wooden board looms used in class, and leave feeling equipped to continue practicing and experimenting beyond this workshop.
