SEEING ART is a small group visit to look at art in the Portland Metro area together! At Paisley Studios, we know that making art is important. This series is inspired by our 8th principle, YOU ARE NOT ALONE, and reinforces our belief that looking at art makes us feel like we are part of a larger conversation, puts us in a different state of mind, and inspires us to think/talk about new things.

This month, we will visit one of Portland’s oldest and most welcoming galleries to see James Lavadour’s solo show, Home Ground.

James Lavadour is a painter who believes “a painting is a structure for the extraordinary and informative events of nature that are otherwise invisible.”

His work is a must see in person!

Meet anytime between 1pm and 2pm at PDX Contemporary Art on 1881 NW Vaughn Street, Portland, Oregon 97209

A Statement...

The studio will remain a creative sanctuary for all artist members & students. The feelings will be intense, and making art does not always come easily. As I have been thinking about my own work a lot this year with my @the_canopy
