Melinda Lee Jackson

Melinda has maintained a steady and consistent painting practice for many years. She works in her home studio as well as weekly in the Studio Practice class. Working primarily in gouache, but occasionally in watercolor or pastel, she has honed a familiarity with her medium as well as her subject matter. Often working in a series, her portraits and still life objects have a personal meaning as well as a larger symbolic meaning. This year, she has embraced looser brush strokes and carefully crafted a color palette for each work. You can see more of her work on her website.
